I am connecting my ballast bags up for the year and I am debating of I should put Vaseline or something on the o-rings. Any suggestions?

Yep, just a light coat

KY jelly?

Cant just spit on them before your put the male into the female and start scr.... oh forget it... What they ^ said, light coat.

I use silicone gel on all of my rubbers to get them to slide back and forth easily. You can get it any pool store.

Stay away from lubes with petroleum. I use Lube Tube available at pool stores and Amazon like @tdonoughue points out.
