VHF Radio Install - 2022 255 FSH Sport E (252)

Why do I feel like I'm trying to cut my hair using a mirror! The diagram looks soooooooo simple. I love the four tee unit. I have all the right parts, I just can't seem to figure out how to connect the power to it. The power wires have a large yellow connector or housing of some sort. I know that's not going to connect to the back bone at all. Very frustrating. Why can't it be as easy as the diagram is the question.

Maybe the power source going to the Multi display will connect. Then I would imagine the power to the VHF would have to be disconnected.

I think I remember the plug of the power to the multi display was too large to connect to the back bone.

I don’t know man do you have marine store maybe west marine or something close you can go to? Show them what you have and ask if it will work. The backbone needs its own separate power not piggy backed off any of the electronics you have.

That's where I got the NMEA kit from. I guess I need a Simrad tech. Maybe a good photo of what you did will help. It just looks so simple. Then again I'm the guy that could never figure out the "Rubix Cube" either.

Here is a pic of how I wired the power I recommend getting the nmea 2000 tee the is for power.

Looks like I don't have the power connection that you have. Thank you for the pic. That helps a lot. I can cancel my appointment with the Psychiatrist now.
