Any recommendations on a good tow rope for wakeboarding? Currently we have an all purpose rope that we use for the knee board, wakeboard, and water skiing. It has a lot of stretch from what I can tell

I only have an LS and no ballast so I can't expect the rope to change reality here but I am thinking that a rope without stretch would improve the wakeboarding. I find that when you go out of the wake and then try to come back in, there is a ton of slack in the rope. You have to lift the handle above your head to try to take in the slack and you are lucky if you get enough speed to get across.

Any recommendations on a good rope or thoughts around why a spectra rope may not make much of a difference?

I saw this one which looks decent:

I have that airhead rope. I used it for a couple of seasons and now use it as a backup. I thought it worked pretty well. Whichever one you buy, The one thing that I would recommend is to get the brightest color possible. It makes it much easier to see in the water.

That is the one we use and have been very happy with it. As itsdgm said, get a color that will stand out in the water you tow in. We found that green color works well in our muddy river.

Thanks @buckbuck, @itsdgm ; I went ahead and ordered it based on your help.

@itsdgm, if this is your back up, what do you use for your primary? I am thinking those $200 ropes must be good and that you get what you pay for.

I have a Hyperlite line, which adjusts from 60-80'. It's about $140, but it's a comfortable handle and very visible in the water.

I found a deal on a new rope at the boat shop that I bought our boat from. I can't remember the brand, but it was a one day sale a few seasons ago. And it was too good to pass up. I hope you like the airhead rope. I know I do.

I think you will be happy with the rope you purchased. We also have that same rope and like it.
