I’m not defending bad behavior from wake boaters. I actually don’t see all this on our lake, but I get it. I’d be pissed if some JA dropped a wake on my docked boat.

Our family loves to surf. I don’t have a fancy wake boat, but I don’t want to be told I can’t do what I want with my boat. It’s 1/2 the reason I bought it…so we could surf.
Same! I also plan to buy a surf boat at some point. When we surf we're always out on the main lake way away from houses/docks. We do see tons of people head up into the coves to find smooth water, and I definitely get the urge to do that. My buddies dock is back in a cove that's tight AND a dead end, yet people still come flying back in there. Like where ya going? It ends in 100 yards.

Michigan DNR aren't the only ones going after big wakes/boats this week. NOAA is looking at limiting speeds of boats 35ft and larger to 10 knots along the entire atlantic coast.

In all seriousness though, this seems like the type of thing that could progressively get more restrictive depending on whose voice is loudest, and the NOAA proposal is an example of that.
