Hello- New Yamaha Boat Owner here.... 2014, 242 LS-
Do you have to have your 10 hour service, and other scheduled service, done at a Yamaha Dealer or Authorized Service Center? Sounds like its essentially an Oil Change and Plugs... I keep my boat at Marina, so going for an oil change consists of pulling trailer 4 hours to lake, putting boat on said trailer, pulling boat 1.5 hours to dealer... Rinse and repeat to get things back where ready to ride....

Thoughts?

Most of us do it ourselves.
1/10th the cost. Far less time & trouble than taking it the stealership.
Even if your boat is @ a marine, doing this yourself will make you a little more proud still of your boat.

You or your local marina can do it. Just follow Yamaha's service intervals and keep receipts.

It is good to let your dealer's trained yamaha mechanic look over your motors at some point. Many wait until a warranty issue pops up and gives them a reason to go through all of the transport hassle.
