Anyone ever have an issue with water getting into your speakers? Winterized the boat today and took down my towers, each one probably has 1-2qt of water in it. Speakers were sounding fine before I took them off, but can't be good for them. They're Rockford Fosgate speakers, I'm going to reach out to them to inquire about it, hopefully doesn't become a case of spending more because I wanted to save some in the beginning.

Aloha @seanmclean interesting i don’t have Rockfords but i better check in mines too. I got WetSounds REV8s on swivel mounts and i always turn one forward, to project some tunes in front lol. But i would hate to have some water sitting in them. Mahalo for the heads up, i going to check mines.🤙🏽

Admittedly to my surprise (especially considering I purchased them new on eBay), Rockford Fosgate is shipping me a new pair of speakers and mounts.

Inside of one of my speakers (had to dismantle and then destroy the speaker). Might try to get some speakers that'll fit in the can and make some outdoor or garage speakers, after sealing the crap out of them.

You might consider adding strategically placed drain hole(s) in the can. Allows speaker to breathe + any minor leaks in speaker will drain out and not accumulate. Obviously, not large holes for various reasons.

I used to work at a company that manufacturers over the road trailers (for tractor trailer freight hauling). Sealing up optional side doors was always damned near impossible. Secret was to seal top and sides of door joints tightly, and leave holes in seal at foot of door to let inevitable small leaks simply drain through - and not accumulate onto the trailer`s cargo floor - where it could immediately damage freight plus damage wooden floors over time.
