It's that time of year: http://www.westmarine.com/promo/hot-summer-deals?cm_mmc=EM-_-Promo-_-140618-_-Gold

If you do not have a handheld VHF radio then 6/22 is your day. $99 for the VHF 160.

6/28 is my day...going to pick up a couple more coastal inflatable PFDs for $99. These have the ring so you can clamp your lanyard to it.
Thanks @davel501 !!! My ebay purchase of the VHF 160 for $83 turned out to be a scam and I'm in the process of getting my money back :( Now I can get a new one for just a little more.

Have you EVER seen a 1000 Watt generator for a HUNDRED BUCKS?

I haven't! 'til now:

http://www.sears.com/powerpro-2-str...f=Y&PID=227502&AID=11042411&redirectType=SRDT

Weighing less than 36 pounds, equipped with a carrying handle, and stabilized with 4 rubber pads, this generator is built for portability.
  • Uses oil/gas mix fuel so there's no need for oil changes. The one gallon tank can run for 5 hours at half load.
  • Quiet exhaust system with spark arrestor is 60dB at 22 feet and is certified for use in any national park or forest
  • 1000-Watts starting power and 900-Watts running power
  • 1-year limited warranty; CARB and EPA compliant

Yep, Harbor Freight has theirs on sale for $129 now. I think it comes w a 90 day warranty.

I just don't need another one, or I'd snag one as an emergency back-up to throw in the van. More than once we've lost power at the river during monsoon season.

Yamaha Ring Free is expensive right!?
ACC-RNGFR-PL-32
http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-Ring-A...id=1403817928&sr=8-2&keywords=ACC-RNGFR-PL-32

But then I found this
http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamaha/Y-ACC-RNGFR-PL-32.html

I thought I was ordering just one of them, but if you look closely there is a 6 at the end. Now I'm set for life on Yamaha Ringfree and it was really cheap. :)

Better hurry before that fire sale ends, or they fix the glitch ;)
Sorry guys I think they fixed the glitch.

Yes they did :( Went there as soon as I saw your post...bummer.

Nice try though!

I love those "Amazing" deals...in fact I'm in the middle of one right now. I ordered hydraulic fluid on Amazon - it can sell for anywhere from $18 to $50 a liter (internet vs. dealer) and Amazon had 20 liters for $210. I ordered it April 5 and they have been dragging their feet - they keep asking if I want to cancel - and the reason is that it is now selling for $292.84 ! Bastards!

I was quite surprised when mine showed up at the door. Now I need to starting putting yamaha ringfree in everything I own just to use the stuff up.

Today is coastal inflatable life jacket day at West Marine.

Sometimes you have to dig to find the deals...I had a small balance on a Dell Giftcard and they kept sending me reminder emails to spend it before it expired. So I went to the site to see what my measly $16 and change could buy - I wasn't falling for the bait - to buy something just to spend a few bucks more.

I found a deal!

"Portable power when you need it. PNY's 2600 PowerPack is made of a high-end brushed aluminum housing, offering users a compact, portable and stylish design. Convenient in size to carry in your pocket or purse. The PowerPack comes with a 20-inch Micro USB cable for charging the PowerPack as well as Micro USB devices (Android, Windows Mobile, & BlackBerry) – if using an Apple device, use the included 20-inch Micro USB cable to charge the PowerPack, but to charge your Apple device from the PowerPack, use your existing Apple charging cable."

For $12.99 it was just what the Dr. ordered. I have a larger one and it gets plenty of use. This one is perfect for longs days when you know you'll need to charge the phone at some point. And I hate dealing with charging stations at some airports, there are only a few outlets sometimes and they are always a distance from your seat.

I have a couple that are similar that I received from work...have saved me more than once!!
