Just brought home my 2020 AR195, upon packing it and getting things organized I found these under the seat by the battery. What are these?image.jpg

:D
yes that is what they are. You can leave them in the garage. They are used for shipping. It locks your tower down for long distance transport. Not sure if anyone has ever really needed them after they got there boat. I have mine in a box. only reason is if i ever sell it and send it.. not planning on it..

Gotcha that makes sense, thank you for the replies.

I always keep them on the boat, I use them everytime I haul it down the road. Specially after reading the warning on the bimini that says not to pull with bimini up over 55mph..

I think you're confusing the tower with the bimini? You can and should tow with the tower in the upright position, but the bimini cover on the tower should not be open - it should be wrapped inside the boot (cover) to secure it to the tower for transport. If you're dropping the tower and bolting the brackets in each time, that's a lot of unnecessary work - you could use that time to be out boating!

I am not.. the Tower could remain up, if you have no low clearance areas where you must pull your boat, or low bridges you must maneuver below while on the water, those come in handy. I keep them on my vessel and use them regularly..

You have a 242 E-series though with the massive Bimini so that's why you have to remove the Bimini when towing. On the smaller boats the tower stays up when trailering and the Bimini gets stowed/rolled up.

Can you please tell me how these attach?
