I am moving the battery back into the engine area, adding a second battery, a battery switch, a low voltage disconnect and an on board charger. I am trying to decide where to mount the battery switch and LVD. Both are the small size Blue Sea parts that mount into a 2 5/16th hole. I am considering the grey cut in area with cup holders on the port side.

I would appreciate descriptions or pictures of where others have mounted them.

Thanks

@Bruce I just installed the same switch, no pictures yet. Hope I can explan this properly. I put mine in the same compartment where the factory battery is located, on a small angled panel next to the rear speaker, the back of the angle panel is the engine compartment. I surface mounted mine, no hole to drill just 4 mounting screws. To operate the switch I have to lift the seat cushion over that storage area.

I had thought about mounting the battery switch next to the port rear speaker and facing the same direction as the speaker but decided I did not want to constantly see the switch.

I also thought about installing it near the speaker but I would like to have it higher above the water line.

When I bought the boat they had a single setup switch mounted here so I just put my dual switch in the same spot.

Same spot, I moved the battery further back, added a second one in front of it, and mounted my switch/acr on the plywood angled wall just aft and left as you face the port seat compartment @Bruce.

Dat be the spot I put mine too.

thats where mine is as well....I am interested in what your planning for moving the batter to the engine compartment though? Would you be able to explain that a little further? I'd like to get mine out of the way because I want to add a sub and ballast, with the batteries and the other stuff that compartment would be completely useless
