I have a 2005 sugar sand mirage 1800 with a V6 175hp 2 stroke engine that will turn over but not start. When I use starting fluid it will start I have replaced spark plugs waiting on wires to come in not sure if I am priming it correctly or what I am doing wrong

You have 2 fuel pumps, a block mounted diaphragm pump and an electric primer pump that feeds it. Make sure the electric pump is working. You should be able to feel and/or hear it clicking when the starter is engaged. It also has an inline fuse. Not real familiar with the 175's but I know a lot of them had cold start troubles and a lot of guys rewired the primer pump to the key push function to solve it. On the injected models it is controlled differently and it activates as soon as the key is turned on.
