winch strap ....

Ok about to change my winch strap , hook is rusting clip is not springing back and strap is wearing as it appears ... no problemo sign on amazon and order one right !? ....Ah no not so easy many look like seat belt straps and advertise load strength .. the old one i had look much stronger ..having trouble finding one that at least looks like thick material and will last ...any one have any ideas of a link for a good strap 2x20 to tow 240 ....?

example this does not look like it could hold 10k ... maybe for 2 seconds then it snaps ... looks like a seatbelt !

I noticed ranges in these boat wench straps from 2000 to 20000 lb break strength. The straps thickness is the limiting factor it been designed to fit the wrench drum. A thicker strap like a lifting strap would do a spill over the wrench drum at 20ft length. I think it would be interesting to see a hydraulic pull test with the strap in the winch.....not sure a inexpensive boat trailer winch would stay together at 20,000.
