Worthless shelf in head compartment storage mod for $10

So finally got sick of this worthless shelf with only the 4 inch lip. I purchased a $10 cargo net from Walmart and and added it in the head compartment I can now stack stuff up in there with out it flying everywhere.

Great idea! Is your table fixed to the wall somehow? It doesn't appear that the netting is holding it in place.

Weird, I just lean my table up against the port wall with the table leg tucked behind. Has never fallen off the shelf.

Sounds like you are not boating hard enough . I never had the table fall either but the other items I keep on the boat stacked on that shelf would fall with out the netting.

Do you remember the dimensions? Or are they adjustable if you go shorter and wider? This link shows the dimensions on this one at 27” square.
