Want To Buy WTB 232 Tower or the mythical Radar Arch

I have priced them at a couple of dealers and would likely go with a custom tower before buying a 232 tower.

Bruce wasn't there a guy/company on the "other" no-name brand site that was asking for sx230 boats t o test fit a radar arch for our boats? Maybe it was the newer boats, can't quite remember, but I do recall him posting a picture of a prototype. I'll have to see if I can find it over there.

I am not aware of anyone looking for boats to test fit. That would be great.

Phil Dill had one or more radar arches built.

@txav8r, do you know who built the radar arches for Phil Dill?

@Bruce , as posted above, yes, SEI manufactured and installed that nice painted aluminum radar arch for Phil Dill and to my knowledge, only two were ever made. One was made and sold with the boat they had done, and the other was installed on the personal boat (that red SX240 in the picture above) of the contact at SEI that Phil Dill used. He posted and was active with us over at YJB, but I haven't got access to that to see when he last visited or posted. I spoke to him and apologies, as I have forgotten his name, back some time ago in regard to developing this tower to fit other models. It is a nice tower, but the bimini issues were never resolved as far as I know, and SEI didn't want to have to develop that, they just made the tower. And cost on it was in the $4700 range, and I am not sure if that was cost vs sales price or if that included install, I don't think so. So I think it fell by the wayside as a result of high cost. It had plenty of interest...if it were cheap, but it was never going to be cheap. PD (Toby and Cory) brought the black SX240 to Texoma for our gathering in 2010 and the tower gave a nice enclosed feeling to the boat. Toby took me out for a ride on it and I knew the 240 was going to be a great boat then. Just the bimini was an issue IMO, too small, too complicated, and didn't store or setup well. That is all addressable however. An unauthorized boarding was reported but never verified...

Nate replied to my email and said he would call next week. I would not be surprised if the other forums taxation policies interfered with bringing the arch to market.

Just money had a blonde in a bikini boarding her so it looks like the better boat too me. I like the arch as well but at $ 4k to $5k (plus shipping and installation?) I would never be able to just if the incremental cost over Other aftermarket towers available.
