Needing some help on where to install my new on board battery charger. Attached some pictures to give you an idea of my current set up. Question is where do you believe is the best location to drill the holes inside without harm for mounting the battery charger? Also looking to add a third battery beside the second one in the picture and just daisy chain it in.

I mounted mine on the front portion of that compartment.

.... and now I just noticed that you have the audio amp in that location so my post is pretty much a waste of internet bandwidth ....:wtf:

I mounted my dual charger on the rear wall of that port side compartment. It’s tucked back behind the batteries and out of the way, but with enough room to get the AC plug out.

Where did you settle out on mounting? In the middle of my build now. Answer for me might be to mount where u have your AMP. How did you mount your amp? Looks like it’s on something beside the fiberglass?

I mounted my NOCO dual charger on the rear port wall behind the batteries (where you mounted your amps).

I put my single 6 channel amp in the rear starboard compartment. It is mounted to a sheet of plastic (like "Star-board") that is sitting on some wood block risers to keep it off the floor and away from water contact. Unfortunately, the rear starboard wall is where the 3 pisser lines are and I didn't want to mount the amp over them since they are hot water lines when the boat is running. Was worried about heating the amp, also future maintenance would be difficult.

Since the batteries are on the port side, you pretty much need to keep the battery charger on that side. Maybe you could somehow stuff it vertically above the amps on that board you're making? Once it is mounted you really won't need access. The downside is that you may not be able to see the status indicator lights easily to understand how your batteries are charged.

Thanks for the reply - not sure enough room on that board. Would it be possible to mount some starboard or pvc board to the front fiberglass of that compartment using 5200, then screwing into the starboard? Either of these two spots? 1F8EF4AC-F591-4B8F-B762-D4368F3F95B5.jpeg5EB0CAE3-EF09-42D2-8DB6-0E5A83D02D53.jpeg

Possibly. The factory fiberglass is pretty thin there, so you would definitely want to mount your own backerboard for the charger.

Between the two spots, the one next to the WS speaker would be a cleaner/shorter wire run to the batteries.

The other one at the front of the compartment might allow you to run screws directly through the fiberglass into the backerboard, since the exposed screw heads would be in a somewhat hidden spot (behind the port captains chair, towards the floor). If you used nice SS screws then I don't think they would be terribly noticeable to most people. Definitely make sure the wires from the charger reach both batteries though!

Ok to use 5200 instead of screws to mount the board?

Unfortunately I don’t have experience with 5200 so I can’t answer that.
