Just got a new 222XE and the stock subwoofer is so terrible that I didn't think it was working at first (had to put my hand on it to feel that it was even moving). Does anyone know if the problem is the subwoofer, the amp, or both?

The stock subwoofer my Scarab 165 is so powerful that it shakes the entire boat (we though the boat was having engine issues at first, turns out it was just the sub making everything vibrate lol).

It's the amp. It's under powered and locked down. Replace the amp with a Wet Sounds SYN-DX6 or (similar) bridge it on channels 5 & 6 and you'll be good to go.
