I have been looking to see if anyone has added toggle pins to their wake tower. I have a 2020 AR240 and have to drop the tower every time I put her in storage. I am worried that over time we will wear out the securing bolts, especially since we added wake tower speakers. Just curious.

I wouldn’t be too worried about it. I move mine up and down a couple times every weekend all summer long for the storage reasons too and don’t notice any unusual wear on the bolts. I do keep an eye on things and they always tighten up nice so I don’t see a reason to alter it at all.

I have to raise and lower my tower too everytime I take the boat about. It sure does seem like a lot of weight to be held by only two securing bolts. I'd feel better if I had pins too but I gotta wonder if I'd do more harm than good by drilling. For the last 4 years I've lived with the securing bolts so I guess why change now. But I have the same concerns as you.

I was going to have a machine shop do it, but I wanted opinions first.
