I think the OP and I were talking about 2 different Yeti's. I thought he was talking about the 12 oz. koozie that has the black screw on seal that you use with a 12 oz. beverage. That was my misunderstanding. I would totally be interested in some sort of floatation sleeve for my Yeti koozie. If I were designing this I would make it a sleeve for both the koozie and the tumbler. I noticed last summer that the koozie gets very hot when left in direct sunlight. Although that doesn't affect the insulation quality of the koozie, to me it would make sense to knock down the heat if possible to increase the cups efficiency as well as user comfort. Since white is the coolest color I could see some sort of white sleeve to wrap around both the tumbler and the koozie that would knock down the heat as well as add floatation.

@BigN8 take a look at the pictures in the above link. We can do a wrap in any color which will keep the surface cool and then the floatation pad to make it buoyant.

That would work. The koozie isn't tapered, so it would need to be very tight or be a full sleeve with a bottom. I'd buy one.

Will's wraps are adhesive. They are the same SeaDek material that is used for floors.

It would still need to fit in the cup holder but I'm assuming where the wrap is currently that's where the flotation buoy would go?

Hey all, I know Yteti's have been getting a lot of press lately and have been a bit of rage.

I've used Contigo (http://www.gocontigo.com) for years and love them. Besides the mugs you see at Costco, you can also order double-wall plastic ones that I've used on the boat for going on five seasons now. they are dishwasher safe and the best part: Autoseal mugs and water bottles DO NOT LEAK. I've had them tumble in both the car and boat, and there's never been a spill. Here's a link to the specific water bottle I've been using: http://www.gocontigo.com/18-oz-autoseal-melrose-water-bottle-3.html
