Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Port engine rpm gauge not working. Was this morning and at pre launch. Conext telling me errors with both engines and gauges. Anyone know why? They started fine at home and at dealer.....
Gotta look for loose wires and cables. Batteries, spark plugs, sensors.
Look under the dash as well to see if stuff is connected to your connext.
Are the engines running even though it gives errors?
Everything ended up fine.... Very weird though. Made me want to puke! Now just waiting for all my new speaker equipment to arrive. The stock speakers blow. The boat is way quieter than the 190 was. Storage and hinged seats are an obviously awesome upgrade. Ended up a very good day!

Did they flag a specific error message? My tac's had an error as well (though I don't have connext) that cleared after being on the water for a little while and then turning the boat off and back on.
Did you jump in the water ? Lol . I am taking mine out to the fox river this weekend for the first time. It's a tradition for me to jump in the freezing water with ever new boat lol
Voltage issues drive any electrical system crazy. It is all too common for batteries to be down when they are installed. More common than it ought to be. Lots of small things can cause issues you don't expect, and don't relate to the issue itself. I remember forgetting to install the clean out plugs once, it was bad enough that I didn't seem to have any power, but once I discovered it and installed them, then idled out of the marina, all of a sudden I had an overheat warning and was restricted to a lower rpm. After throwing the anchor out and setting for 30 minutes trying to figure it out, they of course cooled down and everything was back to normal. The forum and I analyzed this and helped me to understand that they were all related. Hopefully, your able to keep your batteries fully charged when the boat is not in use. That will help with voltage issues. Being new, it will take some time to adjust to the things we do when we are not familiar yet. I made myself a checklist that has helped many guys over the years. I am attaching and feel free to alter it to suit the way you boat.
