Love my $20 amazon drain plug light

I bought this during the winter and got to try it out last night. Figured it was around $20 so if it sucks I’m not out anything. And didn’t want to spend a bunch of money because I boat at night once every couple years. I was impressed. One foot visibility

So you changed the thru-hull fitting to match the threads then as well eh? Or did the 2005 boats come with "screw" plugs?

Screws right in. Looked too big but it was perfect.

The 2005 boats have the threaded drain plug.

Looks good. What do you do with it while you are driving down the road? Just leave the plug in? I like to have my plug out so all the water from the bilge drains.

Just checked amazon and they also have green, white, and red versions all for the same price ($18.99 I believe). I'll be getting the red one..

Any issues with these devices drawing up fish or drawing down bugs?

I haven't been lucky enough to draw in any fish...probably because they don't have sun glasses (other than the one pair I owned for 10 minutes before losing then to the lake). At 8000 lumens (my light) you'd think it would attract something.

Can anyone tell me if this will plug right into a 2015 AR210 or do I need an adapter?

I screw it in just to make sure I don’t forget(a.d.d) but when it’s unscrewed it only dangles maybe 2-3 inches tops.

Wait...why do you have water draining? I have an 18 year old boat and it's always dry as a bone in the bilge - except when water splashes over the sides into the cockpit which is very rare. If I had to drain, that indicates a leak somewhere!

Mine will drain a lot from rainwater. I always leave mine unplugged on the way to the boat ramp as well.

Mine were about $100 each!! Nice thing is they have the quick disconnect so they don't have to hang out. Pretty expensive feature for an extra $80/light. Haven't installed yet as having some other electrical issues so don't want to confuse the matter at the moment.

Yes it is 1/2. It looks bigger than that but it screws right in
