Nice looking boat - It looks it may be a little harder to get to the engines for maintenance. Anyone experience the new controls yet?

already sucking down 21.6gph at just 33.7mph!!!! That's crazy! That's almost twice what other boats use.

An AR240 uses 11.7 at 33.3mph.
A 26.5' 5200lb Monterey M-65 with a 300 Verado only uses 12.5gph at 33.6mph and the msrp starts at $72k and no doubt is way way WAY quieter.

Twin SVHOs. That setup was has been a wishlist item for many, but it doesn't seem like a good option.

I would never put those engine's in a boat. After owning a jet ski with them and comparing to my buddies Honda Aquatrax Turbo, it's crazy how bad these engines guzzle gas. Same size tanks if we run across the lake, mess around, and come back across the lake, I'm near empty and he still has over a half tank left. I can't even imagine what running 2 would be like....well, yes I guess I can based on the boattest result!

Yeah I wonder how the new 300hp BRP engines fare in efficiency? Twin SVHOs trickling down to the 24/21 foot lineup doesn't seem like a valid option to combat the new BRP engine if it is in fact a game changer.

Yes the SVHO's are gas pigs, that one fuel consumption data point they show is just over 1.5 mpg which is similar to 28' cabin cruisers with twin V8 I/O's. I hope it manages closer to 2 mpg at optimal (slow) cruise. Still, for the average seasonal user, if you can afford the $130k, you can probably afford the grand or so more for gas...

It's not always necessarily about being able to afford the gas as much as it is not wanting to be out of gas in a few hours.

This.
Not about cost, but about range.
I did 75miles in my AR190 this past fall. Not sure a 195 would've made it that far.

Not sure what size tank the 275 has, hopefully large enough to at least make the Bimini trip!

It has a 90 gallon tank, so it's probably okay. I also don't think someone buying a 100k boat is automatically immune from a fuel costs discussion. Especially if other boats in it's class easily have better numbers. It's not like you are getting a high performance boat.

Agreed. I don't think they're immune to it, but I think it's probably further down the list of important items. If I was in that market, I think I would figure out range, and if it can get to all the places I want to go, then it would almost drop off the list.

It's clearly not a "great loop" style boat, or even a heavy cruising boat, so extended hops away from home aren't on the horizon for it. I would suspect lots and lots of day trips in the gulf or great lakes. Things of that nature.

Can you get 92 octane or better at a marine pump? This thing only runs on super like the skis right?

All the marine pumps here are E0 93, helps take the sting out of it being a buck more than buying regular from the gas station.

Depending on Marinas, most have Premium 91 as it's needed for most PWC. And any of the Supercharged engines.

The previous lake we were on, the resort charged $6/gallon for 91 no matter how much it was anywhere else. They knew the price of convenience for those that were not pulling their boats out to fill.

So are we placing bets on who the first one on this forum is to get a 275?

Not it :D :D

We've already gotten some traffic on people researching the 275. I'm betting on a new user, not an existing.

That fuel burn is atrocious. I know a few people with boats in that price range and they do, in fact, care about fuel efficiency. Nobody wants to waste money. If that terrible fuel consumption gained you something tangible, like incredible smoothness or quietness, maybe there'd be some offset to it. As it is, though, it seems to me that it just goes toward making (bad) noise and a bunch of jet wash. In other words, no real upside.

It’s just not appealing to me. I was expecting something incredible and the fuel consumption...I’m out.
