Ugly graphics, but props to yamaha for using a quality material for easy removal

I was pleasantly suprised with how easy the factory 2004 graphics came off with a little heat. Almost no residue and super fast cleanup with some goo-gone. Compared to some decals I've removed, this was a breeze. Took about 20 minutes per side including clean up and a quick wipe down with detail spray.

Yours looks great. They do come right off with heat. Yours look like they came off in one piece. And your gelcoat does not look oxidized. Mine came off in pieces while using a heat gun. There was a fine line on the thin graphics between too little/too much heat. My hull needed a weekend of wetsanding and buffing to remove the oxidation and restore the shine.

I used 1000 grit first and finished up with 2000.

My bushel basket of tools and supplies I used for buffing /polishing.

I was very lucky it looks like this boat was indoors more than not. All I think itll need is a light hit with some compound to clean up some light hard water spotting and fine swirls, then probably a coat of ceramic to keep it nice.

This is how I got it, no visible oxidation around the decals at all.

Yes you were lucky! My 2007 that spent many summers in florida before I got it did not make me as lucky, this was a many weekends job for me...very painfully peeling off little bits and then using the eraser wheel on it. You certainly lucked out!

I pulled most of the decals off my 2019 AR210...they were super cheap and thin. Came right off. They also tore really easy just touching a dock..cheap cheap..

It took me much, much longer to remove all the dang warning decals than any of the side graphics.

Man. I have the same problem with the oxidation. Need to sand and polish but makes me nervous.
