Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Does the Federal Lemon Law cover boats? Yes, as long as you bought the boat new and it came with a written warranty. It does not matter if your defects related to the hull, equipment, or another part of the boat. The federal lemon law covers the whole boat.
Also, I believe in a couple instances, @Cobra Jet Steering LLC, has brought up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, being a manufacturer himself he has cited the law for a couple threads if I recall. Might want to familiarize yourself with this one if your state law is not worth a hoot.
Try a different dealer if there's one around. I had small spider cracks about every 12" in the fiberglass along the bottom of windshield on my 09. Yamaha said it looked like the holes in the fiberglass didn't match up correctly with the windshield and fixed it under warranty. It took about a month as it was the end of the season and the glass shop was busy. When I sold the boat 4+ seasons later, you'd never know it was there.
Yhea, sorry but I couldn't get past picture 1. Have you called Yamaha directly since I think others have had luck with that approach with 2nd step being the lawyer. I think your reach out to Yamaha will only strengthen your clear case....
Do you trailer, boat lift, other? That would be my question but don't answer....
