Nothing like pulling over on shore and chowing down on a crab boil!

Ok...now that ain't right! Show us your propane rig and crab pot...details man, details!

Did you boil it on the boat?

No I was to scared with a 2014 boat and a propane tank. Plus just seen news about how someone had a massive explosion with a propane tank so I did on shore.....lol. I need a smaller propane tank but not sure what size to make it thru the boil so I will test smaller ones the house for future boat boils. It doesn't get as hot as you would think as a high boil it does.

I will be back at lake this evening and will take pics and name of which one.....I have seen others and didn't like, this one I recommend. I know my wife got it at Tuesday Mornings store and it was the full set up for like $49 and most places it is around $100.

Dang that looks good!!!

I could totally use my turkey fryer to make this dinner! And that dinner looked great!

Recipe is easy....Fill water to line. Make as much food necessary for amount of people eating. Makes a lot!!

I usually do it like this (in order of adding to the pot):

2- 3 potatoes per person cut in quarters - cooks the most amount of time first by them selves
Andouille sausage - 2 packs cut in 3" pieces - these are the bomb!
Crab legs I put in frozen.....takes a few minutes to get water boiling again
Corn - 1-2 ears per person snapped in half
Shrimp - 1 lb or more if needed

I usually don't add old bay until it is spilled out on the table for two reasons 1. some people don't like real spicy 2. the old bay boils down quickly in pot and as you can se from pic hardly showed on food.....so don't waste the old bay boiling in pot. Sprinkle on food after poured on table.

Spill more of the water out on the ground before pouring on a table....be careful its hot as crap...that steam will get your arm.

EAT!

I betcha even I could do that....

The only sucky part is the safety timer times out every 12 minutes so you gotta be all over that and turn every ten so flame doesn't go out....REALLY....why 12.....does it take 13 mins to burn something down.....we need a mod.....lol

My turkey fryer has that same timer on it. Totally ANNOYING!!! That dang thing REQUIRES us to sit outside around the fryer and drink and rotate who has to sit down their beer to reach down and turn it.

Yep, my cooker has that damn timer too! It got me on both first cooks! Thanks for the pics and the recipe! I have thought about taking the cooker to the lake but wondered about taking all that and a 30# bottle of propane on the boat too. I am like you, I ain't cooking with that hot rig on the boat, but the beach would be ok!

Now, if we can just get that 20 gallon cooker to spit out 20 gallons of guacamole, things would be awesome...

Ok, I give - where do I find that app!?

Yup, those are awesome. We try to do one a year on the dock.
