Hey guys,

I have a question. It seems that everything I try, even using some automotive interior cleaners on my cushions, it still leaves a light haze of dirt on them. Griots interior cleaner has worked good, but I was wondering what you guys have been using?

Im about to try some OXY clean, and see if it gets them nice and white. I know about that Vinyl Juice, but it didn't work for the pearlesent interior I have on my boat.

I use the boat bling hot sauce vinyl cleaner stuff with positive results, then compliment it with the condition sauce.
The majority of my stains are from tree droppings when she sleeps in the driveway . Does oxi-clean have any bleach in it?..........the general caution on cleaning seats is when (bleach) or the harsher cleaners eat the threads on the seams.....that a big suck !

anything of a larger nature, like when i drag a anti-sieze fingerprint on the seats, I dab with magic eraser ever so slightly and lightly....

available at Overtons and online...bring your thicker wallet !!

If that doesnt work I really like Spray 9 marine.. This is my go-to seat cleaner and has kept my seats looking new.

I use it with a scrub brush and wash off with the hose...
Something like this:

I have the Bling products, and I cannot say I am overly wowed with the performance. I could almost allow some issues with the textured white surfaces, but the smooth yellow trim has areas that remain dirty. I have worked at them multiple times. I haven't tried the harsher chemicals as I don't want to damage the new vinyl.

I tried the boat bling. It didnt work good at all. The oxy clean doesnt have harsh chemicals, and I havent tried simple green. Spray nine is the last resort.

I love the boat bling hot sauce and the Vinyl Conditioner, but the Vinyl Sauce, which is the cleaner, isn't as good as Zep Vinyl Cleaner. Zep will even get red wine out! Ask me how I know!

@JetBoatPilot, do you have any seat cleaning videos?

I use and have had good luck with the Boat Bling products.

Will has recently said that the Babe's Boat Care: Seat Soap removes stains that the Boat Bling products do not. I plan to try it soon.

I use a Magic Eraser lightly on all of my white vinyl. Works great.

I use simple green and a soft bristle brush. For tough stains I have used the magic eraser but I am still out on what that does to vinyl in the Long run.

For day to day cleaning, I use soap and water with the soft brush.

Get yourself some simple green, and TOTALLY AWESOME cleaner with a magic eraser. Go easy on the stitching with the eraser. But it will look better than new!!

Ok guys, I used Simple Green/water mix, and a light bristle brush. The seats came out like new. Just reconditioned them, and about to put the covers back on. We are going to have some storms in the next few days due to the tropical storm. Thanks for all the help!

Yesterday I cleaned the entire inside of the boat and took out all of my gear to store for the winter. I used Simple green mixed with water (no particular mix ratio) and scrubbed the seats and floor (I still have carpet, but not for long! sea dek coming soon.)

I had some tough stains on the seats because my boat was recently worked on by a mechanic. I don't know what kind of grease party was goin on in there but it was a mess! I'm sure they were walking on the seats with their boots!

I used the magic eraser on the seat stains and it really is magic! I was careful not to get near the thread with the eraser as I'm not sure of long term effects, but it is awesome. especially on my 10 yr old vinyl!

I still need to condition the seats yet, I bought some stuff that looks good, but wanted your opinion before I used it. Here's the link:

Outside of the boat is next. I purchased Mother's spray wax for the gel coat. Do you guys/gals have a preference on wax?

Here are some photos.

I'm sure they were walking on the seats with their boots!
Have them throw a blanket, sheet, or towel on the seats next time. I use the bling products and they work well.
