‘24-‘25 255XD What to look out for

2 issues I had with mine was anchor locker lead opening up randomly. I think Yamaha uses crappy piano hinges that cause this lid to move while hitting waves. Eventually, I will replace those hinges, I believe someone did that on the forum.
Other issue was gelcoat crack on the driver side next to the front window. Dealer did repair it and apparently that crack was pretty deep.
Minor stuff it that subwoofer mounted to close to the floor and sea deck mat doesn't clip properly and backside is always lifted a bit.

I used a couple of small pieces of weather striping around the head compartment door in response to the rubbing at the top.

Watch out for the triangular piece of trim around the storage compartment behind the captain's chair. I had someone stick a too-big bag in there, and when they pulled it out it pulled the plastic trim which stripped one of the screws. Fixed once, then happened again the next summer. Bad design there.
I've got a 24 255XE and that compartment behind the captain's chair gets wet? Is that supposed to be dry? The hose is connected from the cup holder so I don't see how it can get wet? Have you or anyone seen that?

I noticed mine was a little damp and I had a couple things mildew between trips. I threw a couple of silica packs from a package I received in there and have not had a problem since.
