Shrink wrapping. Is it worth the cost?

Last year for long-term winter storage outdoor in MO I had our 220 shrink wrapped. It cost about 500.00 for them to do it. I'm trying to decided if it's worth the cost or just to use the factory mooring cover this year. Anyone do this? What are your opinions on one or the other?

Is it going to be exposed to snow, if so i would put a plastic tarp over the tower and the moring cover. Snow will slide off easily

Yes we usually get a 2-3 good snows a years. I hadn't thought about the tarp idea. That seems like it would be just as effective for a fraction of the cost

If you get the tarp tight the snow will slide off and if it is a quality tarp you will get many years out of it.
