Fix for Connext Battery Voltage Issue - Confirmed

Yeah, I get it. Please let us know how it turns out. Hopefully your wires are all separate, unlike mine, where the loom of labeled wires terminated directly into a.much larger wire which went into the house switch. In other words, mine did not have a small labeled wire to move from one switch to...

Fix for Connext Battery Voltage Issue - Confirmed

If you read the first of my two posts above, you will see that you probably do not have to pull the house switch apart to get to the sensor wire. In my boat was in a loom of other wires just past the switch (on the boat side, not the battery side, of the switch) and just involved pulling it out...

Fix for Connext Battery Voltage Issue - Confirmed

It certainly couldn't hurt to do so. I pulled both the positive and negative leads off as I was doing this. And there are no dumb questions here. Jeff

2012 242 Limited S starboard engine will only start when the engine is cold

I'm assuming the clean out port hatch has two cut out switches like the later ones do. I'd start there. It's possible the starboard one is misadjusted just enough they after some time on the water the switch doesn't close. Hold down the switches while someone cranks on the starboard engine. Make...

2012 242 Limited S starboard engine will only start when the engine is cold

When you say "it does nothing", do you mean the starter doesn't work (engine won't crank)? Or are you saying it cranks and cranks, but won't start?

    Wake tower lanyard

Yes, there is a large pair of fender washers with a piece of rubber sandwiched between them (as a damper) and nuts holding it on the threaded lanyard. Looks like the lower nut came off and then the washer assembly fell into your starboard storage compartment. It's probably laying around in there...

    Fender/Bumper location on 2017-2020 AR210/212S or X

Camp Richardson, Lake Tahoe, last Summer. The cleats can do double duty for dock lines and fenders, as needed. Forward grab rails and tower work fine too for fenders.

Help with water in bilge - 2019 SX190

I don't think we are talking about the same thing in picture 3. Anyway, I will be interested in what you find when you get back to your boat.

Help with water in bilge - 2019 SX190

OK, that access panel is what we are talking about, just under the hatch which is flipped up in the picture. Somewhere in that area is a drain (at least that's the way it works on the larger boats). Can't see it in the picture, I'm guessing because the guy is blocking it, or the image isn't...

Help with water in bilge - 2019 SX190

Again, I'm not sure you need to unscrew the access panel at all--you said you removed the cap on that already (I think that cap is what you are calling the "clean out cover"). Again, I'm not sure of the 190's and am just assuming there's a drain under that hatch like on the larger boats (where...

Help with water in bilge - 2019 SX190

So, that white nut looks like the one that goes on the bottom of the drain that sits under the hatch where the clean out port/plug is. I'm not sure what the SX-190's look like, but on the newer 212's, that drain piece (plastic) has a plastic nut, like your white nut, holding it in place. The...

    Drain Plugs 2020 AR210

Lots of debate on the plugs in 2-4 above. My dealer said it's user's preference, and that he leaves them open on his personal Yamaha, so that's what I've been doing. Never had an issue. I think you've found them all. Jeff

    Brought Her Home Today!

Yeah, it's not like buying a new car. If you go into it with that expectation, you will be disappointed. 18 months into the new boat purchase and I'm still finding random screws, discarded plastic pieces and unsecured wires. Also you will find threads here addressing things like Connext...

New Boat, wasn’t planning to pick one up but the deal was too good!

I was thinking a wading pool for the kids (or grand kids). But same basic back yard idea as @OCMD. Not enough seats in off-the-shelf kiddie pools these days. Jeff

Need more bass. Please comment on setup

I think you're getting some good advice here. I don't think you need more amps--you've got plenty for what you're running. Before I dropped more money on another amp, I'd try either an IB sub or your existing sub in one of the suggested vented enclosures. The 300W you have on the bridged...

    Connext doesn’t turn off

Makes some sense, I guess. If you want to turn only the starter battery off and play the sound system while anchored for hours, you don't need to leave a key on to do so. And you can always turn off the Connext, even with the house battery on, by holding down the courtesy light button for a few...

Had an...interesting first trip in the new AR 240

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, that's a pretty rapid weather shift. Looks like you folks are used to taking that in stride. Admire the ability to adapt and just throw a cover on the boat to wait it out. Jeff

Great looking boat. Congratulations! Curious how much time elapsed between that picture in the bright sun and the one in the full snow. Jeff

    Loading Issues!

Absolutely. I frequently blame the universe in lieu of personal responsibility. But, when some other asshat f's up, it's all on him. Look at it this way: you didn't cause the strong crosswind. Sounds like a universe thing to me. Jeff
