Another newbie question... lift bunk placement?

Thanks all this will be very helpful to give me a starting place of setting up my lift. Appreciate it.

Another newbie question... lift bunk placement?

@jsg73 I know this thread is old but hoping you can weigh in for me. I'm installing this same 4400 Hydrohoist lift next week so the numbers you provide will be very helpful. The other thing I was wondering is how the boat sits on the bunks back to front? For a level lift does the bottom of...

    Tow valve suggestions?

I used the Island Racing valves that haknslash mentioned above. They worked our great. Here is a little post I did of the install if it helps at all. Its post # 1,386 on this thread (the link should get you there if you wait for it to finish loading...

    Installing/aligning Hydrohoist for 212x

Anyone out there have a 212x or alternatively any 21' Yamaha on a hydrohoist? We are having a used Hydrohoist 6600lb lift delivered next week and I'm wondering if I can shortcut the trial and error as far as lining it up on our dock. The installation instructions say to line up the back of the...

    210 fsh tr1 engine spark plug #?

Some say its overkill, but a lot of us just change the plugs every season. I change the oil for the winterization routine in the fall then in the spring I run last years plugs for one outing to get the fogging oil out of the engine at which time I change the plugs for the new season. Both the...

    No wake mode not disengaging

Yeah I think its been said but simply bring the throttles back doesn't disengage it, you have to either hit the (-) til its off or actually engage a certain amount of more throttle (not sure how much) to disengage it.

    Considering a Yamaha VX

Newer to jet skis and considering getting one. Had them when I was a kid but that was many years ago. Was looking at the Seadoo GTI or the Yamaha VX. My first instinct is to stay with Yamaha and get into the 1.8 HO because I know that engine from the boats but am open to other options...

2019 212x water temperature gauge - faulty reading

20 degrees is a lot, but maybe worth mentioning that typically the top 12" of water is significantly warmer which is where this sensor is reading. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Scupper cover from wakebooster kit

Sorry we are in the middle of a move so boat is currently in storage. It is installed with the opening in an orientation from front to back and basically just centered on the hole. If I remember right there was a little cutout on one of the corners and I remember not really seeing an obvious...

    Scupper cover from wakebooster kit

Interesting, I have the scupper cover installed and I've never had any water come up my scupper drain into the boat when surfing that side.

Cobra Magnum or Ultimate Fins & JBP Lateral Thruster combo on twin engine

Looks like you got most your answers from Cobra Jet. I'll just add from the peanut gallery I did the AKs with LTs in 2018 and have never regretted this setup. Absolutely love it. I'm a big fan of the LTs and I love the "always down" aspect of the Cobra fins. I couldn't be happier with the...

Yamaha Financing Refuses To Accept Principal only Payments

Yeah not sure in WI but next door in MN boats are not titled only registered. However the trailer is titled so that would require a release of some sort, at least in MN.

    Scupper cover from wakebooster kit

Pretty sure you got a bad package then. The 21' package has a booster with tabs and the curve is more flat with exaggerated curve at the tips. The 21' package also comes with a scupper cover because the shape of the 21' booster forces water against the scupper. The 24' has a much more round...

    Scupper cover from wakebooster kit

I don’t know about the tabs but the 21’ and the 24’ versions are different shape from each other. Edit: looking at your pics above, I believe the top one is the 21’ version and the bottom one is the 24’ version. Also if I’m not mistaken only the 21’ version comes with the scupper cover.

    Scupper cover from wakebooster kit

Yes it is needed - the very reason it is needed is because it is on the side. The booster pushes a lot of water against the scupper and the cover prevents it from forcing water into the scupper drain line.

    2020 Maiden Voyage 34mph? <SX190>

Just fyi - I don't know all the specifics but there are threads on here claiming that in 2019 forward models the ribbon is part of the intake and you have actually cut it out making it much more a PIA than previous models. Definitely still doable but pay off before was worth it because it was...

    2020 Maiden Voyage 34mph? <SX190>

yeah tubes full of water at the end of the day is normal for these newer boats. Some think it is blow by on the plugs but others (i'm in this camp) think it is backing up the clean out tray drain when you stop. Other ways they could fill are water washing over the swim deck when stopping or...

Honest review of the Wake Booster

I didn't have any issues. I used some acetone to clean the area for the adhesive and stuck it on as shown.

    Black Gel Coat Repair Lessons

Nice repair. Getting ready to do a repair on black myself. What brand and type of polish did you use. Also, orange and blue pads? Is there a brand that has two different pad variants in orange and blue? Wouldn't happen to have links to these polish products would you? Thanks.
