    Whe I was tearing around like a bat out of hell towing people and roughing it up, I always noticed I had a load of water draining at the end of the day. When on a normal cruise with no maniacs on board? Nary a drop comes out at end of the day.

    Jet Boat Rookie

    No need for a fin. Especially on a one engine. Just remember the main thrust of a jet boat - no power no control. Try it before without for awhile. You will learn how easy these things are to steer.

    End of season storage - full tank or meh?

    Took it out, 84 degrees in November in Maryland. Unbelievable, and back to 30 the next day. Filled tank, ran for maybe an hour then on way back to the dock added the stabil so it could course through the system on the way back. Probably about 5 gallons light, but close enough to filled for me...

    My neighbor broke his femur last month going to fast on his ski and wiped out jumping waves. Young and dumb! I only did 70 for a stretch in glass conditions. Wouldn't dare jump a wake at that speed but I guess many do. But all in all? If I had to do it over I wouldn't have bought it...

    End of summer report. This thing hauls ass. Wife wouldn't take it over 50; but jet pilot daughter we had it full throttle and hit around 70 on some glass. I think we got out on it 6 times total this summer. Beats my boat - I think I got the SX230 out 3 times this summer, anyone wanna' buy it...
