Can these boats be lifted with Davit crane lifts do they have proper hooks

Good info to know. Sounds like a four post standard boat lift would be the way to go. I wonder what the lift rating 8000, 10,000 for a 19ft model. Thanks for the info.

Can these boats be lifted with Davit crane lifts do they have proper hooks

Wonder if the boats have the proper fixtures to hook to so they could be lifted with two Davit lifts or do they have to go on a regular boat lift. The Davit lifts would be on concrete. Im looking at homes to buy and some have Davits and some have regular four post boat lift.

What is the range of a new SX190 running at a slow speed

Sounds good. Thanks for the detail. That is the area around Cayo Costa and back to Saint James City area which would be less. I was thinking it would be fun to run along the coast and go down to the 10,000 islands area. Would have to stop along the way for some fuel but there plenty of places...

What is the range of a new SX190 running at a slow speed

Sounds interesting and 72 miles is a good distance for 27gal. I would mainly be here in the intercoastal area which is pretty smooth but can get a little choppy but I would mostly be out on calm days:)

What is the range of a new SX190 running at a slow speed

Is the single engine use a torbocharger. I wonder if people have problems with the turbos on single and dual engine? Im a little worried about them and cost of fixing turbos. Do they make dual engine models without turbos? Im not a speed demon:)

What is the range of a new SX190 running at a slow speed

That sounds good. Yes I have watched some videos of people going to Bimini and some take a little extra cans of fuel I noticed too to be on the safe side I guess. I guess the two engine models burn alot more and don't carry that much more.

What is the range of a new SX190 running at a slow speed

Wonder what my range would be doing some island hopping on the west coast of Florida around the Sanibel and Cayo Costa island and coming out from Pine Island area.

242 Limited S Im looking at some used ones, how old is to OLD?

Also for service can most marine shops work on these or do they have to do to a Jet Dealer. If Im in a area like Saint James City, Fla out on Pine Island I wonder if marine shops there can work on them since I would not have a trailer. Maybe they would have to come pick it up if it had to go...

242 Limited S Im looking at some used ones, how old is to OLD?

I will be buying a new home on the water in the Saint James City, Fla area and won't need a trailer but would need it delivered to my dock:) The new ones have some nice Nav controls touch screens for stuff. Maybe I will find a good deal on a new one. Will have to keep my eyes open in the future...

Flushing engine on Yamaha 242 Limited S E series using in Saltwater

I thought Salt Away left a protective coating and not sure the soap would do the same. Their webpage says Biodegradeable nontoxic so should be fine in the water. I used it in the past on my outboards on a lift even at a club lift where I use to keep my Catamaran with outboards.

Flushing engine on Yamaha 242 Limited S E series using in Saltwater

OK thanks for the info and Salt Away is what I used. Can you reach the flush out hookup if the boat is on a boat lift. Is it inside on the engines... where you can get to it or is it outside.

Flushing engine on Yamaha 242 Limited S E series using in Saltwater

Im thinking about buying one of these boats but wonder how well the flushing system works if Im going to be using this in Saltwater here in Fla. Can you get to the flush out hookup if you have the boat on a Boatlift. Do these engines have a coating inside to prevent corrosion in the cooling...

    My 2017 Yamaha 242X

Im thinking about a new 242 also and wonder what is this talk I hear about towers having problems and might fall down. I read the Chaparrals have pistons on their towers to let them down and large lock to keep them in place. How does Yamaha secure their tower and can you lower it if you want to?

Chap is the fastest of the the 24' jetboats (tested by Boattest)

Yes I like the Chaps too and the enclosed cooling but worry about good service from them and how many dealers for service for them. Seems to be more service places for Yamahas even though Im not crazy about cooling with saltwater here in Florida. I know flushing after every run like I did with...

Chap is the fastest of the the 24' jetboats (tested by Boattest)

That looks like a better design then in the past. I can see where that would be good to go and hold with no problems. Thanks for the video on the new cap design. Im thinking about their 24ft 242 Limited S E‑Series model. I wish they had a 25ft or 26ft model.

I wonder if anyone has noticed a new design of the plugs in this forum??????????

Chap is the fastest of the the 24' jetboats (tested by Boattest)

I worry about the Clean out plugs coming out on the Yamaha models from what I read some people have had problems with them. They seem to sell alot of these boats even with that issue. I like the look of the Chaps and the build a bit more, cushions seem to first class on them. I like the walk...
