Review of the all New 2016 Yamaha 242X E-Series Wake Sports jet boat

I think the price point is too high for a boat without the wake boat features. They are trying to sell this as an alternative to a full fledged wake boat. I paid $68,000 for my Axis A24 with all the options including a 450 LS3 engine. Granted, it was the dealer demo with 70 hours, but that is...

I used marine plywood and it was flat. I put caulk in-between the the firberglass and wood. It worked out well.

    Ultimate Wake Boat?

I think it just depends on what you are looking for...I started with a SX210 and realized that I wanted more power and water sports features. I ended up getting a fully loaded Axis A24 with a 450 hp engine for $68,000. Granted, it was a dealer demo with 50 or 60 hours on it, but for the price...

    October Surf Day

nice looking wave! Does your boat have the ability to switch from regular to goofy or do you just have to change the ballast around?

    Come on Missouri Fans!!

I don't even like baseball, but the Royals have been making it exciting. I'm pulling for them. An I-70 series would be fun to revisit. It turned out well for the Royals last time.

Pictures of my new Axis A24

It takes about 5 second to switch from side to side via a toggle switch in the dash. Since I'm goofy foot and most normal people are regular, I needed it to make life easy on me.

Here is a video of the wave. This is the wake wedge and factory ballast...not the extra 2000 lbs in plug and play. I didn't take a video of all the ballast and wake wedge. I should have though. I don't think the video does it justice, but here it is

@Julian - The bimini does slant forward, but my head never came close to touching it.

The boat weights 4500 dry so I'm not sure if a triple axle is required or not... @PEARCE - The dealer is removing the wrap and fixing minor imperfections. I didn't ask for any equipment as I'm getting a very good deal on the boat. I already have everything from my Yamaha including boards and...

It is decadence and it was very nice. It was my wife's favorite part of the boat.

It is stationary..it can be removed quickly, but you would want to plan ahead on it as it doesn't fold up for storage. The dealer towed the boat 60 ish mph with the bimini in place without any issues. He said it is designed to always be up when being towed.

No, the dealership is Stateamind in St Louis. I dealt with the Andrew, he is the GM of the store. He is very knowledgeable and nice. There aren't any wake boat dealers in KC that I have found. You could come to the boat show in January...

The wrap will come off. The boat is blue and white. The demo ride yesterday was fantastic. It comes with 3000 pounds of ballast plus the wake wedge. We went though each of the wake making devices and saw how they all worked separately and together. When we had all the ballast and wake...
