    My dealer checked with Yamaha prior to sealing the fuel tank/center storage area and got their blessing. I’ve been fishing for two days straight and no water leakage into the center storage area. Their fix seems to have solved the problem.

    Got my boat back yesterday. Dealer decided not to install a bilge pump in center storage area, installed a float type bilge in engine compartment adjacent to existing bilge. They discovered a 1/2” gap at the partition between the gas tank and storage area- sealed that and now I’m dry.

    I would like to use my center storage area/changing room for storage. Don’t need a porta potty, as I live on my lake. 2+” on the floor of a boat is 2” too much. Another friend of mine suggested adding an aerator and calling it a livewell! I think that idea has some merit.

    After 2+ weeks at the dealer, and unable to find where the water comes from, they have decided to install a bilge pump in the bottom of my center storage area (dealer will pay for pump install). Should pick it up early next week. Will report any progress soon.

    Head Storage Modifications

    I just installed an adjustable shower curtain rod in the storage area, and it works great. No drilling either. I hang all my life jackets on it with no problem.

    THX for the shoutout. We live on the lake near mike marker #3. Enjoying our new 190 FSH Sport and VX jet ski. There are lots of Yamaha owners, but many do not participate on the forum for some reason. Lots of good info here. Don't tell anyone about Lake Wedowee, it's Alabamas best kept secret.
