Transom Underwater Lighting...Hella, Lumitec, or Ocean LED? Is heat an issue for Jet boats while underway?

I went with Lumitec because they are rated to run out of water.

    gouge on underwater hull

I would not add 4200/5200 to that. Just use the patch kit directly over it.

    2024 255 FSH Sport H test.

BT is beyond saving at this point, IMO.

We have been looking to add to our boating options

Haven't checked in this thread for a while, congrats on the new vessel! Can't wait to see how it comes along given the awesome job you did with the Ben.

    Yamaha Sales event “Perfect Choice”

Curious what credit union is offering sub 6 rates on a 15 year loan? Going through the new boat process now, and not seeing anything less than mid to high 6s, and I'm 830+.

    Clean out port jammed

I don't think that pulling (or pushing up from below) will help. Everytime my plug has been hard to twist, downward pressure has been the trick - its not moving because the dogs are being pressed up against the base plate.

    Sharrow Props

I swear boattest is an investor in Sharrow. These props do look really fascinating though, will be interesting once the prices come down to a more normal level. We have a new boat on order, but I wouldn't be comfortable with $10K in props hanging off the back of the lift.

Started the replacement boat search after a 3 year hiatus

They're looking for circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), in case you want to read more about it. Relatively recent advance in identifying post-surgical patients who are at risk of recurrence (better than the 'wait and see' approach), so its a good sign her physician is up to date. Keytruda isn't...

    Battery outdoor power equipment

Bare tools are good buys sometimes, don't overbuy batteries if you don't need them. I have around .75acre, and a 5aH battery will last me a couple weeks with weekly trimming, blowing, etc. I have 2 5aHs and 1 2.5aH, and its way more than is needed for the accessory tools (lawnmower is different...

    Drone

I suggest disabling return to home when filming from a boat, I much prefer to fall back into hover mode - the boat is mobile, no need to try and chase a moving target if it isn't behaving as expected. The return-to-controller is not as good as you'd expect. Careful with the winds, especially at...

Docking in brackish water for week

A week is totally fine, as Babin said, just flush it well when you're done with a salt removal product.

    Anchor swinging issue 195S

You'll swing with either an offset or centered cleat, this is normal but you should predominantly stay pointed into prevailing wind/current. If you're losing hold you most likely have insufficient scope, so try adding more rode (and some chain if you don't have it already). In tight quarters a...

2015+ Shorlandr trailers are having issues with fender brackets cracking

If you call Shoreland'r and explain the problem, they might just send you everything for free. Not sure if they've dialed that back as the issue is quite old now, but I got 5 new wheels and tires and a pair of fenders shipped to me for free at separate times. First the tires, and then my...

Saying goodbye….at least for a while

Gorgeous boat, congrats. About to put in an order for a Tidewater myself, going with the 27' CC.

Will this truck tow my boat?

Looks like a bayliner 245, dry weight is 5200. Add gear, water, waste, fuel, batteries, trailer, etc., 6,000lbs is about right IMO.

    Battery outdoor power equipment

The standalone trimmer is really pretty good, the automatic dispensing works well (just let off the throttle a touch and it extends), and the automatic feeding is a godsend. Not that its exactly difficult to smack a gas trimmer head on the ground or respool it, but not doing it is a nicer perk...

    Trust Vectors

This is a Pepsi/Coke debate. Both products perform as advertised, though some will claim fantastical things. For me, I chose the vendor that I'd prefer to deal with should something go awry, and that was jetboatpilot.

    Truck Tow Vehicle

That's a nice truck. I rented one when I picked up my 242 (didn't have a truck yet), and that thing towed awesome. I ended up with an F150 that's better in about every way (IMO), but the Tundra felt like it could tow a couple 242s before feeling heavy. F150 obviously tows just fine, but you...

    Battery outdoor power equipment

We've switched almost entirely to electric, but retain gas for the chainsaw and a pair of backpack blowers for fall cleanup. I have Ego tools for the trimmer, another blower for day to day cleanup, and an edger - all of them are best in class tools to me, and I had nice gas predecessors. We have...
