not sure how it happened, pictures in a second,
talking with Cobra Jeff it sounds like I didn't have the bottom standoff #5 in (you can see threads on the nozzle, the bolt worked out and then the top mounting snapped, I don't remember leaving the stand off out but I checked the other jet and it was there,

I noticed a little heavier steering while we out yesterday, luckily it didn't let go until we were loading the boat on the trailer,

@PaulyB you don't have a used one of these for sale?

Sorry to see that @Scottintexas. Hope you're back up and running soon.

Guess I better check the lock tight on that bolt. Thanks for the heads up. Keep us informed on how difficult it is to get a new one.

The threads cut into the bottom hole along with the groove cut into the top of the nozzle are clear signs of the original bottom factory standoff not being put back in place during the installation , the standoff creates a free play zone for the nozzle to pivot on and it protects the nozzle from rubbing on the threads of the bolt as it is OVER the bolt so it is quite obvious as to the cause . The standoffs in the reverse hoods and the nozzles must be re installed to their original position .

Unfortunately I believe I sold the ones I had to another member already... I’ll look around and make sure though.
I was able to get a line on one, thanks for checking though,

Back in business!

About 1 hour labor total

A big shout out to:
@Cobra Jet Steering LLC. Answered, diagnosed and shipped needed parts asap

@Beachbummer GAVE me the nozzle from a spare he had, you don't know friends until you need something and his response was "whatever you need I'll get you set up"

Nice!!!! I bet you got a little loctite in there?

Glad it's all set.

A lot of loctite. Thanks to jeff for including it in his parts!

Same thing just happened to me. My mechanic took out the pump and i think didn't put locktight on the LT washer- after 2 hours of boating - it busted open - same issue.
