At the lake and I need to fold my tower to get under a bridge. What is the allen key size required. I am assuming you loosen the front two, remove the rear two and pivot it forwards with a pad for it to rest on. Any tips? Thanks. Cam.

If I remember just removing two screws and rotating it doesn't reduce the overall height very much,

maybe [USERGROUP=9]@HELP[/USERGROUP] will get you some answers, and I'll try to look online,

So far I have found that the 05 is 8mm and to fold the tower back and not forwards. I have 8mm and 10mm in my truck. Sounds like it will only reduce height be about 12" but if I fill the ballast that will give me another 6". Might be enough. The lake I am at is shaped like the number 8 with a small bridge across the middle. Cam.

Yeah, I believe it is an 8mm, and if you tilt it back you should gain some clearance. I dont know if you have tower speakers or not, but if you do, be careful when you take the second bolt out of the front, it will try to slam backwards on you....

My tower actually gets taller if I lay it backwards. It does dip down a few inches at first, but then the front legs actually stick up higher than the starting height. The distance between the front and rear legs must be greater than the height.

You cant lower it all the way down, there is a point where it will lower about 12 inches prior to the front legs getting higher than the rear of the tower....

I had a close look today. Without some grinding on the joints my tower wont hinge back or forwards very much. The 8 mm allen key is tight but works. I think 3/8" is the one to use. I measured 8' from waterline to tower tip. Cam

Were you able to make it under the bridge?

It wont matter if you do grind the joints, because at some point the front legs end up raising higher than the tow point is when you lean it back... If you only lean it back about 1/3 of the way that is the lowest you can make the tower, unless you modify the front legs so they come off.

Thanks for the info. Thats kind of what I concluded after looking at it again. Thanks. Cam.

I cleared the bridge underside by about 4". Cam.
