Broke 3 connecting rods from ingesting water last summer, I posted a thread on it. Does anyone know a good mech for these engines in Oklahoma?

Sounds like a lot of damage internally. Have you tried to locate a donor engine from a jetski?

2 years to get connecting rods from Yamaha!!! I know its a old post by now by I have had a lot going on since I blew my engine. I finally tore it down the other day and I have just 1 broke connecting rod, no other damage. I thought it was 3 rods but just the one. I will have two brand new in the box yamaha connecting rods I need to sell, they are $272.67 each from Yamaha which is a complete rip off but thats what I will sell them for. The block was inspected for cracks and other damage and there is none. Replacing that rod and should have the motor back in the boat in a week or so.
