I know you said the inside looked cheap on the Skar (pic attached with red board), how does the other one attached compare? I don't know anything about what a good amp looks like based on its internals. Thanks for any help.
It's hard to explain without knowing details, but things like power supply and filter design makes a big difference (more caps is better) and there's a large variance to the grade of components where a low grade cap costs 1/2 of the high grade version. Two amps can look similar but with low grade components and design you can cut costs dramatically at the expense of sound quality, real world performance, and life expectancy. You get what you pay for. Not saying you have to buy the most expensive (I didn't), just weigh the costs versus performance to your personal needs.
