Depends on where the filter is located. Mine is on the top of the engine, and I can verify that it did NOT, with my last oil change.
@Canuckjetboater I'm willing to warm my oil up, but I had it somewhere between "warm" and "hot", and it felt like if it were much hotter, the line on my oil removal pump would have collapsed from excessive heat. I never tested the temp, but IIRC, 10 minutes around the lake was enough to get it to that point on my boat.
@drewkaree .....10 minutes around the lake should have put your oil at operating temperature, which is exactly what you want to get acids, vapors and contaminants into the oil. The oil temp in your engine should never get hot enough to damage any oil removal hose or there is something seriously wrong with the hose or your engine's water supply.
Not to be a conspiracy theorist; but is there any chance they have programmed something in the ecu to limit rpm until a 10 hour oil service “event” is marked complete by a YDS input (forced dealer visit?)
I mentioned this on another thread here within the last 24 hours as maybe a governor needing removed at 10 hour service. Could very well be a programmed issue that “clears up” after dealer performed 10 hour service.

@robby76 .....The engines are not artificially governed to ensure proper break-in, although that might not be a bad idea. The Waverunners do have settings that limit the RPM that novices can engage or parents can program and lock to ensure their children's safety.
