Hello I have a customer with a 2014 Yamaha AR190. Last summer the customer reported loss of power and a rattling noise.

I am more of an industrial mechanic that’s specializes in Advanced Electrical diagnostics than a boat mechanic . I have years of industrial mechanical and electrical experience. So needless to say, I reluctantly took on this job. The misfire was a broken wire at an injector number #4 I believe The rattling was the rubber isolator between the engine in the intermediate shaft.

but the issue is The customer started the engine with the final drive removed and once the engine was shutoff he found this rubber thing on the ground. I have spent countless hours searching repair manual. And the parts manual and I cannot seem to find this. I don’t really want to put the boat back together until I find it I have narrowed it down to possibly a thrust washer or in oil seal any help would be greatly appreciated.

I uploaded a YouTube video thank you in advance!!

Definitely looks like oil seal.
I Doubt it flew out of the drive shaft hole.

As for where it came from definitely looks like seal

Search intermediate bearing housing as they do have seals like that as does the pump housing.

You could remove 4 engine mount bolts and slide engine forward to remove intermediate bearing.
Keep shims in place and in order.

I've done it and there are thousands of threads on it.

My advice if you want to be through and customer/friend understand.
I'm sure you could replace all the bearing and pack it with new oil and know its good.
Less chance of having to do it again later.

If you seach my thread you can access service manual with parts diagram and part numbers.

Hope this helps

if it is 4 cm wide on the outside and 2.5 cm across the inside hole and a hard plastic I would say it came off the pump I have a new set of bearings for that pump in my hand and I do see a plastic solid cover that looks like that I believe it protects the front seal of the jet pump but it is not a seal I do not see any other part that looks like it.

side of the Main bearing coupler on the outside of the hull. Could only come off in one piece like the one you show if motor was started with drive shafts out.
