Hello friends.
I have 1998 Basstracker Sportjet with the 120 Mercury.

Looking to add a flush kit. I see them about 120-130 bucks. I also see other have just bought a few adapters from HomeDepot and connected the hose that way.

Is there a benefit to using the kit (Looks like the kit runs the water into the top of the engine) or is the home depot way just as good? Don't want to ruin the engine.
