NICE!!! I almost went this route with a (less than this) neglected one. The dude didn't want to come down enough on the price though.

Got all the warning decals off. Looks SOOOO much better. Also got a paper towel holder that I put in the inside door under the captain dash.

The boat looks great and really nice work. Thanks for continuing to post the progress. When will you drop it in the water for the voyage?

@4x15mph As soon as the weather takes a turn for the better. We are having a lot of late storms this year.

How wide is your new gate?
Ok not sure. We reused the fence that was there so I never had to measure the opening. I believe the trailer is about 9’ wide and there is a couple feet clearance so 12-14’ is my guess. I’ll measure later as Now I want to know as well.

All of the upholstery is in and the only thing left to do is get the seadek. JetBoatPilot made a mistake and took my order for the seadek in the hexagon pattern, however they have never done that pattern before for the 03-06’ 23’. So Will called me last week and apologized and I ordered the storm grey over Black in the wood pattern look. Ups says I will get it on Wednesday and the forecast for Friday is 80° so maiden voyage is set for Good Friday!

Success! Steering is stiff but I think that’s the thrust vectors. What a fun, quick out of the hole, boat! No cavitation and the speedo says I got up to 55mph! Used the weed eater string to clean out the pee holes and the fuel gauge works great now!

What an amazing transformation. And a beautiful family!
Thank you for posting, this is becoming my favorite thread here!

It has been great watching you resurrect that boat. Hopefully your whole family has been invested in helping you. This would create ownership for everyone. With only 167 hours you should experience many years of fun together.

Nice job bringing her back. Not trying to burst your bubble, but 55mph seems a little high for that boat. Does your speedometer have the peto tube or paddle wheel. Using a GPS speedo, one 175lb. man on board, clean hull, full tank of gas, on glass, I have seen 48.8 mph at 10,200rpm. IDK, maybe your 05 is that much faster.:winkingthumbsup"

. I’m not sure which speedo it has but I know you are correct that it is inaccurate. Plenty fast though!
