2007 Sugar Sand Extreme 200HP Oil/Gas ratio

I had a mechanic come out and diagnose an issue with my Mercury engine. Apparently the oil and gas is not getting mixed at all. He said that I was still able to use the boat if I simply poured oil in the gas tank. Forgive my naïve question, but does this sound plausible? And if so, does anyone know the correct ration of oil/gas on this engine? Thx!

If you have the 200 it's a Optimax DFI and has an air compressor that is lubricated by the oil injection pump. If the oil pump isn't working you would cause expensive damage to the compressor. I don't believe it's feasible to run premix with DFI motors, I wouldn't try it. The people who do oil deletes on the older carbed engines run 50:1 ratios.
