So here in Michigan was what we call hot boat weekend this past weekend. Tons of boats. Anyway I sucked something up and it ended up blowing a hole right in my block because it over heated and I didn't notice till it was to late. Need help with getting parts to fix it. Anything will help.

Wow @ShallowWaters I have not seen a MR-1 blow out the casting like that. I have no experience but do suggest you start watching craigslist for a FX waverunner with the high output MR-1.

I agree with @buckbuck on both points. WOW!

SBT has one for around $2400. Just hope it's the right one. Looks right and says it's right. Crossing my fingers.

Are you sure your core is good?

Sbt talked me out of using them. They bill something crazy like $100 a week if your core is bad until you can provide a working core. Your option is to buy a new block for about 5k (block only, not short block), then see if the piston/crank are ok and can swap, but chances are you need at least a rod and piston. The fx140 regular is the no ho engine, and the fx140ho is the same ho engine. I bought a fx140 to swap into mg boat, but that's running on 3 cylinders and I need to trouble shoot that too! Tool bad Yamaha stopped selling long blocks.
