HELP!
I've replaced my impellers and wear ring housings on both sides. I've replaced the gaskets on the clean out port plungers. I'm still getting cavitation when I accelerate.
I did not replace any seals when I replaced the impellers because my local shop didn't think I needed to. I also don't get as much water out of the "pissers" as I used to.
What do I do next?
Thanks in advance for your help!

What symptoms of cavitation and rpm range?

It could be silicone between pump and the hull (after the intake grate-before the impeller)

seems like above 6-7k. And it takes extra time to get up to speed when I accelerate as well. I have replaced the scupper valve a couple of years ago.

are you positive you have the correct pitched impellers and they're installed on the correct sides

I was told by the company I bought them from that it didn't matter, maybe that's my issue? They said they were standard pitch...
And even before I changed them out, I wasn't getting the push I normally did. But I guess I need to check with them again.

who did you buy them from ?
what is the pitch ?

the manual calls for two separate pitches, we've seen people install them on the wrong side and have issues, not sure if your issue is more extreme than that but if they gave you something for a different model that may be a good starting point,

We have had members intentionally buy impellers with a non-standard pitch to help with hole shot or top end but that was more of a controlled / informed buying decision,

I would call them and see what exactly they sold you,
then pull the impellers to confirm there are any markings on them, this will also give you a chance to give the "tunnel" and sealant a good inspection.

I bought them from WaterCraft Superstore, made by Impeller Solutions and when I called them today, they told me they were "standard" pitch and it didn't matter which side they went on. I don't remember seeing any markings on them when I installed them. I'm waiting on a call from one of their techs.
Tunnel?
Appreciate your help!!!!

I would be surprised if impellers were your only issue but they could be a contributing factor,

the picture above shows what the pitch should be,

Kinda sounds like they're part of the issue.
Is taking off the tunnel and sealing back up and big ordeal?

could be, until we know what pitch they sold you it's hard to say,

taking the intake duct off is a big deal, usually it's siliconed in pretty good,

if you look at my link on post #3 I just pulled the old stuff off and applied new stuff everywhere I could as a test, it's held up for many years now,

my cavitation though made the whole boat vibrate like it was going to shake apart ( along with poor acceleration which sometimes I could nurse it through the rpm range to get up on plane )

Very little. But like I said, I was having the issue before I swapped them.

I took the starboard side apart and found that I have 0.015” between the impeller and the housing. Does that sound right?

See about finding a set of top loader intake grates for P W C's if they will fit , to push more water into the pumps and more evenly as well , sounds like you are having an issue with water getting into the pump

Will seals or the shaft have anything to do with cavitation?
