2009 Harborcraft extreme shallow engine replacement?

Hey everyone so I have found a used 2009 Harborcraft extreme shallow boat for sale. It originally had a Jmax engine in it but it is blown up apparently. The boat is cheap and I am a mechanic so I could put a new engine but I have read the Jmax engines were terrible in these larger boats and I can’t seem to find a Jmax engine online at all so I am guessing they are discontinued? Wondering how hard it would be to drop a sport jet in it or a different engine?

Currently have the jmax extreme shallow from jet craft. I’m looking to upgrade the motor to prolly a svho. Currently researching what to do let me know what you find.

The engine info I found was that it was a Yamaha mr-1 or AR-1. I have the whole manual with me if you need any specs.
