Hopefully not a major issue but I noticed the other day that water was pushing through the water hose hookup while at mid to high range rpm’s (5-10k). It wasn’t a major leak, but enough the notice it was coming out.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Not sure if it’s related or not but when I hook up the flush hose adapter while on the trailer I can’t get the male end of the adapter to get a good seal with the female end in the boat. If I physically hold it in it doesn’t leak but leaving it on its own it leaks.

Any help appreciated!

My flush ports have a cap that screws on. Are you missing yours?

Yes they have caps on them. Seems to be pushing around the caps or possibly where it’s sealed to the fiberglass.

1. Did you get this resolved ? Curious to know, as it doesn't seem like you got much help here on the forum.
2. I just bought a used 2010 212X and now find that it is missing some sort of adaptor in order for me to attach a garden hose and perform a flush of my engines. If you could, I would sure appreciate a pic of what your adaptor actually looks like so that I can try and source it. Can't easily find anything on-line on this !

Thanks !

Never got the original leak issue resolved. It didn’t leak enough to cause any major issues. Drained into the main drain line and exited the boat.

Well, I guess overall that is good news that it drains itself that way. It's not just a rubber o-ring issue, but it is how the port attaches to the boat itself, it sounds like. Once I get the ability to flush I'll be able to see if I have the same issue as you've reported here.

THANK YOU for this info ! I just wasn't sure of the threading on the boat, and if I could simply go to Home Depot and buy a regular home garden hose quick-connect set that would attach to it. Or, if it is very specialized only through Yamaha boat dealers. But, what you say makes sense to get one that has a built-in shut-off valve so that the hose can be connected in advance (with water shut-off), then start the engine, and then easily and quickly start the water flow while in the boat. Less running around, tripping, and who knows what eh !
