Hello all. Trying to remove the jet pump off of a recently purchased boat but can't get passed popping out the linkage for the bucket. Removed the cotter pin and cap that sit on top and I've soaked it with PB blaster. Tried prying it out but it won't budge. Any tricks or is there something I'm forgetting?

Assuming you have the cable end already unbolted from the reverse bucket, it should come up and out pretty easily. Is there tension on it maybe from the F N R control at the helm? Try wiggling that back and forth a couple times. Did the boat sit in salt a lot?

I’m not familiar with a challenger. I have a 2012 242 and this is the video I used. Hopefully it helps you.
