This is my third boat and it is my favorite by a wide margin. I bought her used a few months ago with only 24 hours on the engine. After upgrading to an SVHO intercooler, my focus turned to the stereo. I have always had great results with Polk marine rated components so I kept the DB651’s for now. I installed a Fusion MS-RA70 head unit, A 4 channel Soundstream Rubicon Nano digital amp, a mono Soundstream Rubicon Nano digital amp, and a Polk 12” MM1240 SVC subwoofer in an enclosure I made. To power this system, I installed an Optima Deep Cycle 31 series battery.
To mount the amps, I installed a 12” x 24” piece of 1/2” thick white starboard to the fiberglass wall below the glove box. I also ran 4 gauge power cable back to the battery, with appropriate fusing. I am really happy how it turned out as it is very clear, even at WOT! My next upgrade to the system will be to replace the DB651’s with MM651’s.

Love organized wiring, great work on the install!

Congrats on the boat. Very nice install, thanks for the visual, I'm getting ready to do an install on mine.

Thank you! I love to loom wire, it is almost therapeutic for me. Wiring done right is so important in a boat (for obvious reasons).

Very nice install!
I'm curious if you're grounding the amps and the HU to the same ground wire/battery.
I have had issues with (engine compartment blower-induced) hum in my tower speakers that was driving me insane, until @Mainah and @adrianp89 set me strait! That seemed to be a trend in some installs (and cure for most hum/noise/static).

Thank you for your kind words! I debated even posting about it because it seemed insignificant compared to all the other amazing posts but I wanted to share something for the greater good of the group.
To answer your question, I wired the HU into the factory wiring on the boat and the amp to the new battery. I have absolutely zero hiss or hum from any other power source...the background is dead quiet. The Fusion HU is a great little device and a very worthy upgrade over the stock Clarion unit. The buttons are large and can be pressed quickly while underway. This has been such a fun boat for us; the entire family enjoys every aspect about it. I have been on 23’ boats that don’t have as much space as our SX192 has. My only quibbles so far have been the heat soak (now fixed) and the loudness of the engine. My new sound system easily over powers that now.

My stock Clarion M502 has a bunch of issues in ye olde 192. Channel out, bluetooth broken, lousy radio reception....

I hope to someday chop it up with an ax like I saw somebody else post a pic of. Need an ax first.

I have a Fusion MS-RA70 that has been sitting in a box for about a year :(

Maybe now I'll grow some balls and do the switch!
