Been chasing an issue that just popped up. I have a whining noise( sounds like a bad bearing). It resonates through the entire boat. Sounds like it’s coming from the front of the motor but it’s really hard to pin point. Dealership told me if it’s coming for the front it a bad supercharger. I pulled the nose cone off, very minimal water. It felt ok with no grinding. Maybe it’s an intermittent bearing? 330 hours and Boat has a ribbon delete, catch can, and an intake cone. Any help Is appreciated, I’m chasing my tail!

Bearings.

If you have drive shaft out. Start motor and see if noise is gone or it's more likely intermediate Bearing if it's never been changed.

It’s hard to tell if it goes away, it seems to really be noticeable in the water. Is it better to buy a whole assembled one or just rebuild the factory one?

I did since I run salt water.
That rubber piece in intermediate swells and leaks. They sound like marbles when they go bad

For a 100 dollars it's worth it for the 100 bearings and work to change them.
