Hello folks.
I have a 2015 242 Limited S which is giving me problems. Looking for a shop to take it to (or maybe just advise on how to proceed here), perhaps someone knows a good place. Im located in New Jersey. I have had a tough time getting the Yamaha authorized dealer to take my boat.

Long story: Last year, at the start of the season, Connect screen started displaying CAN 2 and 4 errors (most peripheral equipment not working, ie. lights, bilge, blower etc). At the same time when turning the ignition on, the Port tach does not sweep, and does not work with engine running. Additionally the port engine is misfiring and will not rev with throttle.

I checked and replaced batteries (one was leaking voltage). I replaced the spark plugs on the affected engine (even the old ones were in good shape). I checked fuses but found none blown. I inspected harness and connectors for any damage or deterioration but found no breaks, or corrosion.

Additionally I ordered a Port tach from boats.net in August 2024, which remained on back order until January 2025 when the order was canceled with a note that this part has been discontinued (smh).

Help
Thanks

Found a repair shop for gauges Coastal Gauge Repair and sent them my port tach to attempt a repair.

I had a conversation with the owner who told me a lot of these Yamaha jet boat gauges are failing recently. Apparently they were made by a company in the US and he even attempted to get wiring diagrams for the gauges but he struck out. Crossing my fingers.

You should post where you are located if you are looking for advice on where to take it
